Election materials for the conduct of the area council elections in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) arrived early at the Peyi Polling Unit located at the Subert International School, Peyi New Extension in Bwari Area Council as electoral officials commenced preparations under the watchful eyes of security personnel.
Officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) were seen organizing sensitive and non-sensitive materials early in the morning, including ballot papers, result sheets, and the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) machines.
The arrival of the materials signaled the formal commencement of voting procedures at the polling unit.
Security presence was visibly heightened around the school premises, with officers deployed to maintain order and ensure a peaceful voting environment.
