The Governor of Kano State, Abba Yusuf, has urged all Muslims to uphold the virtues of patience, compassion, and unity cultivated during the Ramadan.
The governor in a statement issued by his spokesperson, Sunusi Bature, emphasized the importance of sustaining the spirit of sacrifice and selflessness, encouraging citizens to support the less privileged and promote harmony in their communities.
He also assured residents of his administration’s commitment to improving their living conditions, ensuring economic growth, social welfare, and infrastructural development.
While addressing the recent killing of Kano indigenes in Edo State, the governor expressed deep sorrow over the tragedy, vowing that his government will not rest until the perpetrators are identified and brought to justice.
He further stressed the need for peaceful coexistence among the ethnic and religious groups in the state, describing unity as Kano’s greatest strength.
Gov. Yusuf urged citizens of the state to use the festive period to strengthen family bonds, promote reconciliation, and foster peace as they emulate the exemplary character of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon Him) by upholding justice, honesty, and compassion in all dealings.

Similarly, the Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, JibrilnFalgore, has congratulated the Muslim Ummah on the occasion of this year’s Eid el-Fitr celebration.
Chief Press Secretary to the speaker, Kamaluddeen Shawai, quoted Falgore as emphasizing the importance of sacrifice, sharing, and love for one another, urging the Ummah to continue to imbibe the spirit of Ramadan and the values of the celebration, as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim (AS) and upheld by Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
“As I wish you all a joyous Sallah celebration, I also encourage the Muslim Ummah to remain steadfast in the teachings of Ramadan that just came to an end” Falgore stated.
While highlighting the significance of sacrifice and devotion to Allah’s commandments, he assured the citizens of the state of better days ahead, promising quality legislation and reaffirming his commitment to legislative duties.
