Agents from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have conducted a raid at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library in Abeokuta, Ogun State, apprehending several young individuals suspected of internet fraud.
Sources indicate that the EFCC carried out the operation on Sunday morning during a late-night event at the hotel section of the library, which is owned by former President Olusegun Obasanjo.
Obasanjo’s penthouse is situated within the expansive library, designed after the first American Presidential Library established by Franklin Delano Roosevelt, the 32nd President of the United States.
A viral video captured the moment some youths fled for safety during the raid.
The agents reportedly detained multiple individuals and confiscated “over 20 luxury vehicles and other valuable items.”
