The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has apprehended 14 individuals suspected of engaging in internet fraud in Jos, Plateau State.
According to a statement released by the EFCC on Monday, March 10, 2025, the arrests were made by the commission’s Kaduna Zonal Directorate in the K-Vom and Rayfield areas of Jos on Saturday, March 8, following credible intelligence.
Recovered items from the suspects include five laptops, 13 mobile phones, and two power banks.

The EFCC stated that investigations are ongoing, and that the suspects will be charged in court upon the completion of inquiries.
Head of Media and Publicity for the EFCC, Dele Oyewale, confirmed the development, reaffirming the commission’s commitment to combating cybercrime, and other financial crimes across the country.
