In a move aimed at boosting youth and sports development in Nigeria, the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Youth and Sports Development Centre (EYSDC) has entered into a strategic partnership with the Nellyval Group, a diversified Nigerian conglomerate.
The collaboration was announced during a courtesy visit by a delegation from the Nigeria Unconquered Foundation (NUF) and ECOWAS YSDC to the company’s corporate office in Apapa, Lagos. The delegation was received by Dr. Goodness Anele, Executive Director of Nellyval Group, who represented the company’s Chairman, Mr. Valentine Anele.
Led by the Executive Director of Nellyval Group, Dr. Goodness Anele expressed the company’s commitment to supporting high-impact initiatives aimed at youth empowerment and regional development through sports. She noted that the partnership represents Nellyval’s growing engagement beyond commercial ventures into community and civil-society impact.

Founded over a decade ago, Nellyval Group, aa made known by him. operates across multiple sectors including logistics, oil and gas, bonded terminals, warehousing, consultancy, and international trade.
The company’s expansive infrastructure and expertise in logistics and trade facilitation are expected to play a crucial role in supporting upcoming regional sports initiatives such as the ECOWAS Para Games.
During the meeting, discussions focused on how Nellyval Group could serve as a logistics and operational partner, providing warehousing support for athlete equipment, transportation, and event materials.
The parties also explored opportunities for sponsorship, mentorship programmes, and athlete development initiatives and within Nigeria and across West Africa.
Both sides agreed to establish a joint working framework that would define Nellyval’s role in the forthcoming ECOWAS Para Games, as well as its contributions to media visibility and community engagement around inclusive sports.
“This collaboration represents the kind of public private partnership needed to drive meaningful and sustainable youth and sports programmes in the region,” Dr. Anele added.
The ECOWAS–Nellyval partnership marks a major milestone in strengthening corporate involvement in regional development, with both parties pledging continued collaboration to promote inclusion, empowerment, and athletic excellence across West Africa.
