Ebuka Obi-Uchendu once again stole the spotlight during Sunday’s Big Brother Naija Season 10 live show with a fashion statement that set social media ablaze. Styled by renowned designer deco_d29, the media personality paid vibrant tribute to legendary Nigerian highlife icon, Oliver De Coque, fusing tradition with a bold modern twist that wowed fans across the continent.

Ebuka’s Sunday night ensemble was more than just fashion, it was a cultural homage. His outfit drew inspiration from Oliver De Coque, the revered musician who shaped Nigeria’s highlife genre with an incredible legacy of 93 albums before his passing in 2008. Known for his signature style and sound, Oliver De Coque remains one of the most influential figures in Nigeria’s music history. Ebuka’s tribute served as both a celebration of this legacy and a reintroduction of his iconic aesthetic to a new generation.

This isn’t the first time Ebuka has turned heads with his culturally inspired fashion. During last week’s premiere episodes, he honored entertainment legends like King Sunny Ade, Nkem Owoh, and Prince Nico Mbarga. With each appearance, Ebuka has transformed the Big Brother Naija stage into a runway of Nigerian excellence, blending nostalgia with contemporary fashion innovation.

For his latest look, Ebuka donned a regal burgundy jacket adorned with intricate gold embroidery, a masterpiece that highlighted the artistry of African craftsmanship. The outfit, paired with a burgundy shirt and relaxed trousers, struck the perfect balance between heritage and high fashion.

The detailing didn’t stop there. A bright red traditional Igbo cap crowned his head, while coral beads draped elegantly around his neck, symbols of royalty, wealth, and cultural pride. To finish off the look, Ebuka added a touch of modern luxury with aviator sunglasses and a fur stole draped over his arm, exuding charisma and class.

As Big Brother Naija Season 10 continues, Ebuka’s fashion game is setting the tone for cultural celebration and style evolution. Social media has already erupted with praise, with fans calling him “the undisputed fashion king of African television.” With each episode, viewers now eagerly anticipate not just drama and evictions, but also the next unforgettable look from the man who effortlessly merges tradition with trend.
