The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ebonyi State has dismissed the purported suspension of its leaders by a faceless individual parading as the party’s publicity secretary.
The purported suspended leaders include the 2023 governorship candidate of the party, Chief Ifeanyi Odii, the deputy governorship candidate, Senator Paulinus Nwagu, Solomon Onwe, the South-East national vice chairman, Goodluck Egwu, the immediate past state legal adviser, Chief Mudi Erhenede, and Mr. Moses Idika, among others.
This was contained in a statement issued on Wednesday by the Director, Media and Publicity, Anyi Ga Emeya Movement, Moses Idika, and made available to journalists in Abakaliki.
The statement stated that the PDP in Ebonyi State has no state working committee, and therefore, cannot make any decision on behalf of the party.

It will be recalled that the congress organised by the expelled former South-East zonal Chairman of the party, Chief Ali Odefa, has since been nullified via a judgement in suit number FHC/AI/CS/183/2024.
Also, the Federal High Court, Abuja, while ruling on suit number FHA/ FHC/ABJ/CS/2120/2025 on October 31, 2025, further affirmed the nullification of the purported congress as well as the expulsion of Odefa from the PDP.
“We therefore call on the general public to ignore the purported suspension of leaders of the PDP Ebonyi State, as the faceless individual has no locus standi nor any form of standing in the PDP.
“The PDP Ebonyi State is currently working with the National Working Committee (NWC) of the PDP to fix an appropriate date for the Ebonyi State PDP congresses, as affirmed by the ruling of the Federal High Court, Abuja,” the party said.
