The Ebonyi State Government has concluded plans to partner with Salt Partners Limited, a Swiss company to mine salt mineral deposits in the state.
Governor Francis Nwifuru made this known in his official social media handle, stating that he had given approval for the Swiss firm to perform a comprehensive feasibility study of salt deposits in the state and where its feasible to set up a salt factory in the state.
“I am delighted to have received the President of Salt Partners Ltd (Switzerland), Mr. Vladimir Sedivy today, at the Government House of Ebonyi State.

“On invitation by the state government, he came to discuss the development of salt mineral deposits in Ebonyi State. I have given approval for him to carry out a comprehensive feasibility studies of our salt deposits. Should the reports come out bankable, he will set up a salt factory for Ebonyi State.
“I have equally directed the state Ministries of Solid Minerals Development and Commerce and Industry, to further discussions with Mr. Sedivy on the economic viability of the project,” Gov Nwifuru concluded.
