Hon. Chinedu Ogah, a member of the House of Representatives and Chairman of the Committee on Reformatory Institutions, has called on the newly appointed Controller-General of the Nigeria Correctional Service (NCS), Nwakuche Sylvester Ndidi, to prioritize inmates’ welfare and uphold professionalism across the service.
Representing the Ezza South/Ikwo federal constituency of Ebonyi State, Hon. Ogah expressed confidence in the new leadership and commended President Bola Tinubu for his commitment to appointing capable individuals who uphold the principles of federal character. Ogah noted that the President has consistently demonstrated his dedication to ensuring inclusive and efficient governance through strategic appointments.
In a statement released on Friday, Ogah also praised the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, for his remarkable contributions to the ministry. He lauded the minister’s commitment to improving the nation’s reformatory institutions and expressed gratitude to the outgoing Controller-General for his efforts in enhancing the welfare of inmates and fostering cooperation among correctional officers.
