In a grand gesture of goodwill, Hon. Chinedu Ogah, a member of the House of Representatives, distributed over N200 million worth of cash, food items, and wrappers to his constituents to mark the Christmas season. The event, held at his Item Amegu country home in Ikwo Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, showcased his dedication to giving back to the community.
The distribution included essential food items such as bags of rice, cartons of noodles, and other provisions, along with cash gifts. Hon. Ogah, who represents Ikwo/Ezza South Federal Constituency and serves as the Chairman of the House Committee on Reformatory Institutions, described the initiative as part of his annual tradition of appreciating those who entrusted him with political office.
Speaking to journalists, Ogah emphasized his commitment to improving the lives of his constituents and outlined his plans to distribute farm inputs for the upcoming farming season. He stated that this initiative aims to combat food insecurity in the area and enhance agricultural productivity.

The lawmaker also praised President Bola Tinubu and Ebonyi State Governor Francis Nwifuru for their efforts in addressing the nation’s economic challenges through various policies and programs. He commended Governor Nwifuru for the strides made in empowering the people of Ebonyi State and pledged to complement these efforts by attracting more developmental projects to his constituency.
Ogah expressed gratitude to his constituents for their unwavering support, saying, “The cash, totaling N200 million, along with bags of rice and other food items, is our way of appreciating the people of Ikwo/Ezza South Federal Constituency. This is not just about Christmas; it is about ensuring that no one goes home without essential provisions during this festive season.”
The event drew a large crowd, including executives of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and various community groups. It was a celebration of unity and support, reflecting Ogah’s commitment to fostering community development and uplifting the lives of his constituents.
