The Commissioner of Police, Rivers State Command,Olugbenga A. Adepoju, has directed all police units and commands in the state to ensure tight security in their areas and Commands including worship and recreational centers to ensure peaceful and hitchfree Easter celebration.
A statement on Friday by the Spokesperson of the command, SP Grace Iringe-Koko said the CP felicitates with the good people of Rivers State as they join Christians worldwide to celebrate this year’s Easter celebrations, commemorating the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
The statement enjoined all Christian faithfuls to use the period to pray for the peace and progress in Rivers State and Nigeria at large.

The CP reassures residents of the State of provision of adequate security measures before, during, and after the celebration to ensure safety and hitch free Season.
