The Rivers State Police Command has deployed police operatives to churches, motor parks, recreational centers and other busy spots to ensure a peaceful Easter celebration for residents of the state.
Spokesperson of the command, CSP Grace Iringe-Koko, who disclosed this in a statement on Saturday said that area commands, tactical teams and divisions have been fully mobilized to forestall criminal activities and ensure prompt response to any security threats.
The Commissioner of Police, Olugbenga Adepoju, further assured residents and visitors steadfast commitment to the protection of lives and property.

He enjoined members of the public to remain vigilant, conduct themselves lawfully, and cooperate with security agencies by providing timely and credible information.
The public is also advised to reach the police for prompt intervention through the police emergency lines, even as the commissioner further cautioned all individuals with criminal intent to desist forthwith, as any person found engaging in unlawful acts will be apprehended and prosecuted in accordance with extant laws.
