Lagos socialite, Emeka Okonkwo, popularly known as E-Money, regained his freedom on Tuesday evening after several hours of questioning by agents of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for allegedly abusing the naira.
He was apprehended at his home in the Omole area of Lagos on Monday night and subsequently transported to the anti-corruption commission’s office in Abuja for questioning.
E-Money was detained by the EFCC over allegations of misuse of the naira and tampering with foreign currencies.
However, E-Money took to his Instagram account, @iam_emoney1, on Tuesday evening to express joy over his release.
