The Chairman of the Durumi Super League 6.1, Uche Isaac, while praising the various stakeholders, athletes, and fans participating in the current tournament, emphasized the necessity for an enduring peaceful coexistence leading up to the finals.

Mr. Uche stated that the importance of harmony, solidarity, and compassion cannot be understated, as these are the primary goals of the tournament.

He encouraged all participants in the competition to adopt a spirit of patience and discipline to successfully achieve the intended outcomes of the championship, ensuring their hard work does not go to waste, noting that significant growth cannot be realized in a disorganized environment.

Isaac promised fans a secure and fitting experience in the upcoming matches.

He reiterated the importance of seeking financial support to address the tournament’s funding challenges and upcoming sporting events that will showcase youth on an international level.

With the transfer window opening on match day three, about five players were rumored to be moving from their current teams to those expressing interest in them.

In the latest games, Edu Wolves gathered six points, while Treo Soso Lions, Goshen White Tigers, and Allen Foxes each earned four points, and Bassey Sparrows ended up with only three points.

Edu Wolves have now matched in four teams in points, overtaking the earlier dominants Soso Lions and Goshen White Tigers.

Awards were presented to Chinedu Anyaegbu of Edu Wolves as Coach of the Week, while Andy from Edu Wolves took home the King of the Week title.

Chinedu Anyaegbu, the team manager and player for Edu Wolves, expressed optimism about his squad and reassured fans that their upcoming matches will show improvement.

He mentioned their ambition to win the highly discussed grassroots sports event in Abuja.

The next set of matches in the ongoing championship is scheduled for June 1, 2025, at the Durumi football pitch, located across from the NNPC filling station in Abuja.
