Nigerian music star Asake is at the center of a heated family controversy after his estranged father, Mr. Fatai Odunsin, publicly demanded a N50 million house in Isale Eko and a DNA test for an alleged 11-year-old son. The shocking claims surfaced in a viral video where Odunsin, alongside family members, accused the singer of abandonment and urged him to take responsibility.

According to Odunsin’s relatives, the proposed house is not just for shelter but also an investment that could generate rental income to sustain him. The family insists that Asake, despite his immense success in the music industry, has neglected his father, leaving him to struggle financially. They also claim that Asake has refused to acknowledge Zeenat, the child they allege is his, demanding a paternity test to confirm his responsibility.

The viral video has sparked a social media storm, with opinions sharply divided. While some argue that Asake has a moral duty to care for his father, others believe the family’s demands are excessive and opportunistic. Fans of the singer have flooded comment sections, debating whether celebrities should be held accountable for the financial well-being of their extended families.

Amid the uproar, Asake has remained largely silent, choosing instead to reflect on his struggles through his music. His latest track subtly addresses the pressures of fame and personal conflicts, with many interpreting his lyrics as a response to the ongoing drama. Although he has yet to issue an official statement, his song suggests that he is prioritizing his faith and personal journey over external distractions.

Further fueling the controversy, another video surfaced online this week, showing Mr. Odunsin appealing for financial help after reportedly suffering a partial stroke. In the footage, he alleged that Asake has ignored him since their last meeting in March 2022, just as his illness began. With visible emotion, he pleaded with Nigerians for assistance, introducing himself as “the father of Ahmed Asake, the singer,” in hopes of attracting donations. While some kind-hearted individuals contributed funds, the amount raised remains uncertain.

As the drama continues to unfold, fans and critics alike are watching closely to see whether Asake will respond to his family’s demands or maintain his silence in the face of public scrutiny.
