Diezani Alison-Madueke, former Minister of Petroleum Resources, , has forfeited her vacant plot of land situated at Plot 13, Block I, Oniru Chieftaincy Family Private Estate in Lagos.
The forfeiture followed the order made by Justice Akintayo Aluko of the Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, Lagos The Trumpet gathered.
Before the final forfeiture, Justice Babs Kuewuni of the same court had in 2018 granted an interim forfeiture of the land.
He gave the ruling following an ex-parte application filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The respondents in the suit numbered FHC/L/ CS/811/2018 were Diezani, a lawyer Donald Chidi Amamgbo and MEZ Group LLC.
Justice Kuewumi then ordered the EFCC to notify anyone or persons associated with the property to show cause against a final forfeiture, through a newspaper advertisement.
In 2017, Diezani lost properties in Lagos, Port Harcourt and Abuja, worth billions of naira, to the Nigerian government.
Justice Abdulaziz Anka of the Federal High Court in Lagos gave a forfeiture order against 21-mixed housing units at 7 Thurnburn Street and 5 Raymond Street, Yaba worth N937 million.
Also affected were 16 four-bedroom terrace buildings at Heritage Court Estate, Omerelu Street, Diobu GRA, Port-Harcourt, valued at N928 million.
The court also forfeited 13 three-bedroom with one room maid’s quarters at Mabushi Gardens Estate, Plot 1205, Cadastral Zone B06, Mabushi worth N650 million.
Furthermore, six flats of three bedrooms and one boy’s quarter at Plot 808 (135) Awolowo Road, Ikoyi valued at N805 million.
EFCC stated that the properties were purchased by the respondents Diezani, Amamgbo, Chapel Properties Limited, Blue Nile Estate Limited, Azinga Meadows Nigeria Limited, and Vistapoint Property Development Limited.

In an affidavit sworn to by Sambo Muazu Mayana, the anti-graft agency revealed that a search warrant was executed at the office and premises of Amamgbo after an intelligence report.
Among documents recovered was one titled: “Highly Confidential Attorney Work Product-August Report”, containing 18 companies and properties located in Nigeria, United Kingdom Nigeria and United States of America.
