The Delta State Solicitor-General and Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Justice, Mr. Omamuzo Erebe has implored women lawyers in the state to be committed and focused in their law practice, so as to set a mark of diligence for themselves.
Erebe made the call today in Asaba, when members of the Nigeria Bar Association Women Forum, Asaba branch, paid him a courtesy visit in his office.
He called on women lawyers to be hardworking and focused on the development of their law practice, adding that diligence was required for their growth in the profession.
The solicitor-general commended women lawyers for their outstanding performance during their annual women lawyers conference held last year in Abuja, and urged them to continue to be good ambassadors of the state.
Facilitator of the Asaba branch of the NBA Women Forum, Dr. Egondu Ikeatu, briefed the solicitor-general on the forthcoming activities of the forum.

These include the forum’s 2025 conference holding at Abuja, from the April 29 – 30, 2025, with the theme: “From promise to action: Achieving gender parity for lasting change.”
Dr. Ikeatu also informed the solicitor general of the forum’s involvement in the celebration of International Women’s Day on March 8, 2025. She sought the support of the state Ministry of Justice in ensuring their active participation in both events.
The high point of the visit was the presentation of a souvenir to the solicitor-general in recognition of his support for the forum.
