Delta State has unveiled plans for a major economic gathering as the government prepares to host the maiden edition of the Delta State Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Summit from December 3 to 5 in Asaba. The event, organised by the Delta State Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency, will run under the theme “Advancing Delta MSME: From Vision to MORE Value” and is expected to draw a broad mix of entrepreneurs, industry experts and policymakers seeking to expand the state’s business landscape.
The agency confirmed that Governor Sheriff Oborevwori will open the summit, with leading banker and entrepreneur Tony Elumelu set to chair the proceedings. The Executive Secretary of DEMSMEDA, Dr Godwin Adolor, described the summit as a bold step in strengthening the administration’s drive to boost the MSME sector and widen economic prospects for residents.
