The Commissioner for Lands, Surveys, and Urban Development, Chief Emamusi Obiodeh, has officially dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the All Progressives Congress (APC). The dramatic declaration took place at his country home in Owodokpokpo-Igbide, Isoko South Local Government Area, during a high-powered meeting with party faithful from Igbide Ward 7.
Chief Obiodeh’s defection, which drew a large crowd of party leaders, supporters, and stakeholders, marks a significant shift in Delta’s political alignment. Speaking during the event, the Commissioner cited the mass movement of the PDP’s political structure across the state into the APC as a key factor behind his decision. He said the PDP’s lingering internal crisis at the national level has created instability, stifling development efforts and leaving loyal party members disillusioned.
Obiodeh described his move to the APC as strategic, aimed at aligning Delta State more closely with the federal government under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He stressed that such alignment is essential for attracting federal presence and developmental projects that will improve the lives of Delta residents.

Calling on the people of Igbide to embrace the fresh political direction, Obiodeh expressed strong confidence in the APC’s ability to drive progress and usher in a new era of development in the state. He also pledged unwavering support for both President Tinubu and Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, stating that their leadership represents a unique opportunity to reposition Delta for greatness. He concluded.
