Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has suspended Dr. Charles Olise, a member representing Ndokwa Ethnic Nationality on the board of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC).
The suspension, which takes immediate effect from October 7, 2025, was conveyed in an official letter signed by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Dr. Kingsley Eze Emu.
According to the letter with reference number SGD.777/T4/80, the Governor expressed serious concern over reports of misconduct allegedly committed by Dr. Olise, describing the actions as “capable of polluting the ethical and professional standards underpinning the general affairs of the Commission.”

Consequently, the Governor directed that Dr. Olise proceed on a three-month suspension without pay and hand over all Commission properties in his possession to the Managing Director of DESOPADEC.
The letter, dated October 7, 2025, was copied to the Managing Director of DESOPADEC for necessary action.
