The Delta State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has extended warm congratulations to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori following his recognition as South-South Governor of the Year. The award was presented at the recently concluded Progressive Digital Media Summit, held at the State House Banquet Hall in Abuja.
In a statement signed by the party’s State Publicity Secretary, Valentine Onojeghuo, the APC described the honour as a validation of the governor’s steady leadership and the visible impact of his administration’s M.O.R.E Agenda across the state.
Highlighting a recent project inspection tour conducted by the governor in Warri, the party praised Oborevwori’s direct engagement with ongoing infrastructure projects such as the Warri Township Stadium, Effurun Flyover, and Enerhen Flyover. According to the APC, the governor’s personal involvement underscores a results-driven leadership style and reaffirms his commitment to timely project execution.
“These projects are central to the state’s economic revival and are emblematic of the governor’s broader efforts to transform Warri into a thriving metropolitan center,” the party noted.
The statement also pointed to growing synergy between Governor Oborevwori’s M.O.R.E Agenda and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, describing both as rooted in progressive ideals that prioritize transparency, inclusion, and developmental impact.

Calling the award a milestone not just for the governor but also for Delta APC, the party emphasized that Oborevwori’s approach to governance aligns closely with the party’s core principles.
“This is more than just an award—it is a signal that the APC-led administration in Delta is delivering real dividends of democracy,” the statement read.
Reaffirming its support, the Delta APC urged stakeholders, community leaders, and citizens to continue backing the Oborevwori administration, assuring that more developmental initiatives are on the horizon.
