The All Progressives Congress (APC) Delta State chapter has issued a petition against the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Barr. Felix Morka, accusing him of gross abuse of office and calling for his removal.
In a strongly worded letter addressed to the APC National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, and signed by the APC Delta State Chairman, Elder Omeni Sobotie, the state leadership condemned Morka’s recent actions, describing them as unilateral, divisive, and damaging to the party’s unity.
According to the petition, Morka allegedly disregarded the National Working Committee (NWC) by issuing a disclaimer against the Delta APC Leadership Council, which was set to be inaugurated based on the recommendations of the Delta APC Reconciliation Committee. The disclaimer, which labeled the council as “an illegal contraption,” was reportedly released without proper consultation with the NWC.
The state APC leadership argued that Morka’s actions ridiculed the party’s reconciliation efforts and undermined the work of committed leaders who sought to foster unity in Delta APC. The letter further accused Morka of fueling division within the party by publicly declaring on national television that the NWC recognizes Senator Ovie Omo-Agege as the authentic leader of APC in Delta State, a statement the petitioners described as misleading and destabilizing.

“This is an overreach of his office and constitutes a blatant usurpation of the powers of the NWC. His actions have created unnecessary confusion and division, running contrary to the spirit of unity and cohesion the reconciliation committee sought to achieve,” the petition stated.
The Delta APC leadership condemned Morka’s conduct as a “flagrant breach” of the APC constitution, stressing that party officers must act in accordance with NWC decisions. They further alleged that Morka was using his position to advance the personal agenda of Senator Omo-Agege to the detriment of party unity in Delta State.
“By his outrageous conduct, he has not only desecrated the oath of allegiance to the Party but has acted treacherously against the principles of unity and progress,” the statement read.
In conclusion, the Delta APC called on the National Chairman and the NWC to take urgent disciplinary action against Felix Morka and relieve him of his duties as National Publicity Secretary to safeguard the party’s integrity.
The petition has sparked reactions within APC circles, with observers closely watching how the national leadership will respond to the allegations.
