Delta State University, Abraka, has introduced an online system for the processing and collection of degree and diploma certificates, ending the long-standing manual procedure for graduates of the institution.
The development was announced in an official bulletin issued by the university, informing graduates of NCE, diploma and degree programmes that certificate processing is now handled entirely through a dedicated online portal.
Under the new arrangement, graduates are required to visit the Certificate Status Portal on the university’s website, select their graduation year, and verify their records using their surname and matriculation number. Where multiple records appear, applicants are advised to select the correct entry before proceeding.
The bulletin explained that once verification is completed, applicants will be automatically redirected to the appropriate page depending on their status. Graduates who have not made payment will be directed to the attestation page, those who have paid will see the certification status indicating that processing is ongoing, while graduates whose certificates have already been issued will have access to certification details.

The university also disclosed that courier and shipping services are now available for certificate delivery. It, however, stressed that collection by proxy will no longer be honoured under the new system.
Graduates experiencing difficulties were advised to click the “Support” option on the portal’s homepage for assistance. The university encouraged beneficiaries of the new process to share the information widely with other graduates.
The bulletin was issued by the Public Relations Unit of the Directorate of Ceremonials, Information and Public Relations, under the Vice-Chancellor’s Office.
