Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Davido will headline the opening concert of the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2025, adding musical flair to the continent’s biggest football tournament.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF), in partnership with TotalEnergies and the Moroccan government, announced that the concert will hold on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at the OLM Souissi Fan Zone in Rabat, one day before the tournament kicks off.
Davido, born David Adeleke, has been named among the lead performers for the highly anticipated kickoff show, which is expected to draw thousands of fans from across Africa and beyond. The concert is designed to fuse football with music, culture, and African identity on a global stage.
Widely regarded as one of Africa’s most influential music exports, Davido’s inclusion underscores the growing international reach of Afrobeats.
