The reigning champions of the CGC Volleyball Premier League followed this with a commanding 3-0 victory over AS Douanes from Burkina Faso, finishing the match 3-0 (25-18, 25-16, 25-8).

Vipers Volleyball Club, the champions of the 2025 National Division 1, also showcased their skills, defeating Dynamic VC from Benin Republic 3-0 (25-18, 25-22, 25-20) and then overpowering Sonabel VC from Burkina Faso in another straight-sets victory, 3-0 (25-17, 25-14, 25-20).

In the men’s division, Nigeria Customs Service continued their unbeaten streak with a convincing 3-0 win (25-15, 25-20, 25-17) against All Stars VC from the Benin Republic.

Vipers VC Team Manager, Jabar Abiodun, praised his players for their determination and discipline in the initial matches, emphasizing the team’s focus on winning the championship title.

“We are here in Ghana for one purpose: to win the trophy. The players have shown commitment, and we will not relent,” he stated.

Vipers’ captain, Esther Mbah, also expressed gratitude to the club’s management for facilitating the team’s participation in the regional championship.

“This tournament will help us build momentum and make a strong statement ahead of the 2026 CGC Volleyball Premier League,” she remarked.

Meanwhile, Samuel Onikeku, Sports Director of the Nigeria Customs Service, expressed satisfaction with the performance of the Nigerian teams.

He credited their success to ongoing investment and encouragement from the Comptroller General of Customs, Adewale Adeniyi, and the management team.

“Our main objective is to return home with the trophy, just as we did in Ghana during the 2025 Super Cup,” Onikeku said.

The championship continues in Ghana, with Nigerian teams striving to maintain their winning streak and achieve regional success.
