A Lagos State High Court sitting in Ikeja has issued a restraining order against social media influencer VeryDarkMan (VDM), Nollywood actress Doris Ogala, and Kelvin Chimaobi Emmanuel over issues arising from an ongoing dispute involving Pastor Chris Okafor.
The court directed the respondents to refrain from making any form of public reference to Pastor Okafor or his church across all platforms, particularly on social media, pending the determination of the substantive suit.
Specifically, the order prohibits name-calling, posting or sharing videos, chats, or photographs, as well as making indirect or suggestive comments relating to the pastor, his church, or ministry.
The presiding judge warned that any violation of the order would constitute a contempt of court and attract serious legal consequences.

According to the ruling, all parties are required to strictly comply with the restrictions until the conclusion of the full hearing of the matter.
The court adjourned the case to February 2, 2026, for further proceedings.
The ruling effectively halts the ongoing online exchanges between the parties, signalling a shift of the dispute from social media platforms to the courtroom.
