Chris Brown is moving past one aspect of his legal troubles concerning an alleged nightclub altercation, as it appears he has settled with the individual who filed a lawsuit against him.

Abe Diaw filed a lawsuit against Chris in 2023, alleging that the singer hit him with a tequila bottle during an event at TAPE nightclub in London.

However, on Friday, Diaw submitted documents requesting that an L.A. County judge dismiss the case.

The documents indicate that Diaw seeks to have the case dismissed with prejudice, which means he cannot refile it, typically suggesting that a settlement has been reached between the parties involved.

It is unclear if any financial compensation was involved, as we have reached out to both Chris’s and Abe’s attorneys for clarification.

In his lawsuit, Diaw claimed that Chris struck him three times with a bottle of Don Julio 1942 and continued to “ruthlessly stomp” on him while he was unconscious on the floor, resulting in some lasting injuries.

If the judge approves the dismissal, Chris will still need to address his criminal case related to the incident.

He was arrested earlier this year shortly after arriving in the UK for his world tour, with prosecutors charging him with assault and possession of a weapon.

He was later released on bail and appeared in court ten days ago to enter a not guilty plea.
