American musician Chris Brown has been arrested in the early hours Thursday at the Lowry Hotel in Manchester amid serious allegations of assault on a music producer with a bottle at a London nightclub earlier this year.
The 36-year-old star was taken into custody by Metropolitan Police detectives around 2 a.m., shortly after his arrival in the UK via private jet.
Brown is being held on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and is currently in police custody being questioned. This arrest is connected to a violent incident that reportedly occurred on February 19, 2023, at Tape nightclub in Mayfair.

According to producer, Abe Diaw, the altercation took place during a club event titled “Dirty Martini.” Diaw claims that Brown, without any apparent provocation, attacked him with a glass bottle, striking him on the head multiple times specifically two or three times before continuing the assault by punching and kicking him while he was on the ground.
The investigation is being managed by the Central West Area Command Unit of the Metropolitan Police, which is known for handling serious incidents.
At the time of the alleged assault, Brown was in the UK as part of his extensive global tour, which has garnered significant media attention. The details surrounding the incident are still unfolding as police continue their inquiries into the matter.
