The governor highlighted the significance of Children’s Day as a time to celebrate young people, their vibrant energy, innocence, and incredible potential to become future leaders.

“Our children are our most valuable treasures. Their dreams will shape the future of Edo,” he stated. “We must protect them, support them, and help them grow.”

Gov. Okpebholo also assured that his government is dedicated to investing in children’s development and protecting their rights.

He mentioned various programmes aimed at improving the lives of children in the state, especially those focused on increasing the quality of education and making schools more accessible.

He stressed the importance of keeping children safe from harm and ensuring they receive a good education.

Furthermore, Gov. Okpebholo said his administration is working on creating opportunities for young people while addressing issues like cultism, violence, and other challenges that threaten their growth.

“Every child, no matter their background, deserves a fair chance to succeed,” he asserted.

He urged parents, teachers, and the community to guide children wisely, teach them strong values, and encourage them to have positive dreams and strong moral character.

Gov. Okpebholo encouraged children to dream big, value their education, and strive for excellence, promising support from his administration.
