Manchester United forward, Cristiano Ronaldo has been faced with a move out of Old Trafford to explore the option of a Champions League football for the new season.

With United out of the Champions League qualifying spot and the 37-years-old former Juventus forward complaining of the club’s slow activities in the summer transfer window, the wantaway Ronaldo is looking for the opportunity elsewhere to maintain his Champions League record.

Resulting from the fuss between Ronaldo and the Red Devils which has degenerated into the former missing a training day last week, top European clubs have been identified as a potential destination for the club’s highest goalscorer last season in all competitions. The Trumpet Gathered

Although, the new Chelsea owner, Todd Boehly, has held a meeting with the player’s agent speculating an imminent move to Stamford Bridge, some top Champions League eligible clubs in France, Italy, Spain and Germany are also on the player’s radar.

However, in an interview with Wettfreunde, Gianluca di Marzio believes otherwise as he explained that some of the top European clubs already have their potential targets with Paris Saint-Germain’s attacking lineup occupied.

According to Marzio, the likes of Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar have created little or no room for the Portuguese national team captain to come in while a return to Italy is not feasible.

Marzio opined that Chelsea is the right place for him considering the new owner status and if he favours continuing in the Premier League and Champions League.

“It’s hard to say what the right choice is for him because I thought Manchester United would have been the right choice for him. Because he came back home,” he said.

“He really wants to play in the Champions League. He aims to continue with his Champions League records. His agent is trying to find the best solution for him for next season. That’s why he’s talking to some clubs.

“Chelsea are entering a new era and even if it’s ‘just’ an image deal for the new owner and chairman, this could be a topic for the whole world to talk about.

“He could play in the Champions League with new ’emotions and ambitions’. I don’t think there are other big solutions for him right now.

“PSG won’t sign him as they have Messi, Neymar and Mbappe. It’s difficult to find another club that will give him the opportunity to play in the Champions League.

“Italy is impossible for him. So I think Chelsea could be right for him. But it depends on him and what he wants. If he wants to play in the Premier League and Champions League, Chelsea is the only club at the moment,” Marzio claimed.

Furthermore, the Italian football expert stressed that Ronaldo will not honour a move to Barcelona knowing fully well his heart since he holds Real Madrid in high esteem.

Marzio continued: “I don’t think Cristiano could go to Barcelona. He’s a (Real) Madrid player at heart. So I don’t think he could join them. Barcelona want Lewandowski and they will try to sign him until the end.

“If Cristiano Ronaldo wants a different kind of experience, a move to MLS is also an option. I know they want Cristiano in MLS. If not this year, then probably next year. But I think he will definitely go to MLS before the end of his career.

“Manchester United will also want to be paid. Last year they struck a deal with Juventus so I don’t think Manchester United want to lose all the money,” he noted.
