The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has announced a one-week extension to the deadline for its ongoing recruitment exercise into Nigeria’s paramilitary services.
In a statement issued on Sunday and signed by the Secretary to the Board, Maj. Gen. (Rtd) A. M. Jibril, the Board explained that the decision was made to allow more applicants the opportunity to participate in the recruitment process. The original deadline, which was scheduled for Monday, August 4, 2025, has now been pushed to Monday, August 11, 2025.
“This extension is geared towards providing additional opportunity for applicants willing to be enlisted into any of the Paramilitary Services,” the statement noted, emphasizing the Board’s commitment to inclusiveness and broad participation.
The CDCFIB also used the opportunity to warn the general public against falling victim to fake recruitment websites, reminding all applicants that the only authentic portal for application remains: https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng.

Furthermore, the Board reiterated that the recruitment process is completely free of charge. It emphasized that it remains dedicated to maintaining a transparent and merit-based system in line with federal government recruitment standards.
“The Board wishes to reiterate that its recruitment process is free of charge as well as remains committed to ensuring a fair and transparent process,” the statement added.
As thousands of Nigerians continue to seek employment in federal paramilitary agencies, the CDCFIB’s extension offers a lifeline to late applicants who might have missed the earlier deadline. Prospective candidates are encouraged to complete their applications before the new closing date.
