A major calamity was averted on Sunday when a helicopter enroute Akwa Ibom State from Lagos made an emergency landing on the roof of an Oando Filling Station in Asarama, Andoni Local Government Area of Rivers State.
An online video showed the helicopter ‘sitting’ on top of the roof of the filling station with an eyewitness explaining how the incident happened.
According to the eyewitness, the pilot said the helicopter ran short of gas and he had been struggling to steer the helicopter to land safely until it finally landed on the roof.

The eyewitness said everyone aboard the flight came out unhurt .
Crowd of people gathered at the scene to catch a glimpse of the incident.
Meanwhile, no authority has reacted to the incident as at the time of this report.
