The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has condemned what it describes as deliberate efforts by some individuals to undermine the credibility of its newly launched Intelligent Company Registration Portal (ICRP), a next-generation platform designed to revolutionize business registration in Nigeria.
In a statement issued by the Commission, the CAC expressed concern over rising public skepticism and misleading commentary targeting the language and operational features of the ICRP. According to the agency, such attempts to discredit the system not only mislead the public but also threaten to derail the progress made in automating and simplifying company registration processes.
The ICRP, the Commission noted, is an artificial intelligence-powered platform that evolves and adapts through continuous user interaction. Unlike conventional static systems, the AI-driven portal learns from every engagement, making it smarter, faster, and more user-friendly over time. This advanced capability is part of the CAC’s ongoing efforts to ensure a seamless registration process that aligns with global best practices in digital governance.

The CAC emphasized that constructive feedback is welcome and remains an integral part of enhancing the system’s functionality. However, it urged the public to resist the influence of those who intentionally spread misinformation to distort perceptions of the ICRP for personal or political gain.
Reiterating its commitment to transparency and innovation, the Commission called on entrepreneurs, startups, and stakeholders to embrace the ICRP as a transformative tool that is reshaping how businesses are formally established in Nigeria. It assured that the system will continue to receive updates and improvements based on authentic user experiences and credible recommendations.
