Governor Mai Mala Buni, of Yobe state, has emphasized the need for the timely completion of ongoing projects to benefit the public.
He stated this during the weekend while conducting an inspection of key infrastructure projects in Yobe South Senatorial District.
The inspection, as noticed by The Trumpet, was carried out on his behalf by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Baba Malam Wali.
The tour covered ongoing projects in Potiskum, Nangere, Fika, and Fune local government councils including the Ngalda Modern Market, Fika-Maluri 22 km Road, Potiskum Modern Market, Potiskum Trailer Park, and the Kukuri-Chukuriwa-Dawasa 16.5km Road.
Buni expressed satisfaction with the progress at the project sites and urged contractors to accelerate their efforts to meet deadlines.
He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to infrastructural development as a key part of Yobe State’s post-insurgency recovery.
The inspection team was observed to have included the Commissioners for Works, Housing, and Commerce, along with the Director-General of the Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP) and other senior officials.
