The Faculty of Economics and Management Science of the Bayero University, Kano, will host the 4th international conference and doctoral colloquium on economic and sustainable development models at the university.
Chairman of the organising committee, Prof. Kabir Hamid made this known over the weekend in Kano, while briefing newsmen on the line up of activities for the event, scheduled to commence on January 22, 2025.

He stated that the theme of the conference: “Management for sustainable development in times of economic uncertainties: issues, perspectives, and challenges,” will feature various local and international speakers who will discuss on accounting, economics, public administration, management sciences, finance and business strategy, among other disciplines.
While emphasing on the timelines of the conference, looking at how global economies continue to grapple with uncertainties, driven by inflation, political tension among others, he said it will provide a platform for discourse on strategic management approaches, address contemporary economic and financial challenges, explore innovative solutions for resilience and stability, highlight the impact of of digital transformation and identify actionable strategies for promoting entrepreneurship, financial inclusion, and ethical investment practices.
“The conference will serve as a platform for thought leaders, policy makers, academics and industry professionals to engage in meaningful discussions on sustainable economie models, financial resilience and innovative management practices that can enhance economic stability and inclusive growth,” he added.
