A renewed clash between rival cult groups in Edo State has resulted in the death of two persons.
The violence which occurred in the Ewuku community, involved members of the Black Axe and the Supreme Eiye confraternities.
The first victim, identified only as Smallman, was killed late on Saturday, November 16, 2024, near his residence on a street named after him. The second victim, whose identity remains undisclosed, was killed on the morning of Sunday, November 17, 2024.
Eyewitnesses stated that Smallman had been seen at a wedding ceremony near Sacred Heart College before his demise.

Despite being a landlord for over eight years, he was reportedly unmarried and in his early thirties. Local sources suggest that the killings are part of an ongoing cult war that has plagued the area, escalating tensions and creating a climate of fear among residents.
Police authorities in Edo State have not yet released any official statement on the incident.
However, a senior police officer confirmed the incident, saying the police is working to curtail the escalation of the violence.
