In furtherance to his pledge to comply fully with the Supreme Court orders, Rivers Governor Siminalayi Fubara on Wednesday, went to the state House of Assembly to present the 2025 budget but was locked out and denied entry.
It was not clear as at press time, if the lawmakers had a prior knowledge of the governor’s visit, but the gate of the lawmakers quarters was under lock and key when the governor arrived with his entourage.

The lawmakers had earlier shunned the governor’s invitation to sort things out, preparatory for a normal executive -legislature relationship.
