Namibia’s women’s national team, the Brave Gladiators have reported to camp as they prepare for the first round of Women’s Africa Nations Cup (WAFCON) qualifiers.
The Brave Gladiators will play the first round of qualifiers against Eswatini in a two-legged tie. They will travel to Eswatini, for the first leg scheduled for February 19, 2025.
They will then return to South Africa and continue preparations for the second leg, which will be played at Dobsonville Stadium on February 26, 2025.

Head Coach Nicolas Jacobs has called up a strong team of 40 players. Jacobs said although 2024 was a good year for him and her charges, the big test starts now.
“The qualifiers will not be easy, but we are determined to ensure that we qualify for this upcoming WAFCON, last year we played a few international friendlies which boosted our confidence and morale, the technical team was impressed with the results but this year we need to do better and win more matches,” he said.
