The General Manager of the Borno State Traffic Management Agency (BOTMA), Baba Tijjani, has reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to discipline and road safety, warning marshals and motorists alike against unprofessional conduct and traffic violations, particularly passenger overloading.
Tijjani delivered the message during BOTMA’s routine general assembly held at the agency’s headquarters, along Baga Road, Maiduguri.
He urged marshals to uphold the principles of discipline, professionalism, and courtesy in their dealings with the public.
The general manager reminded them to implement knowledge gained from recruitment and in-house training, and to resist all forms of corruption that could tarnish the agency’s image.
Speaking on traffic enforcement, Tijjani issued a stern warning to both commercial and private motorists against overloading, stating that violators would be dealt with according to BOTMA regulations.

“We remain committed to ensuring safety, orderliness, and strict adherence to traffic laws across the state,” he concluded.
