The Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General of Borno State, Hauwa Abubakar, has pledged the state government’s support in combating human trafficking, vowing to work closely with the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP).
Abubakar made this pledge during a courtesy visit by a NAPTIP delegation led by the Zonal Commander, Mohammed Barde, to her office in Maiduguri, the state capital.
She emphasised the importance of sustained collaboration in the ongoing efforts to eradicate trafficking and protect vulnerable populations in the state.
“As we come together to review our progress and strategise, your presence highlights our shared commitment to justice and the protection of human dignity,” Abubakar said.
“Let us approach our discussions today with a unified purpose, as our actions will directly impact the dismantling of trafficking networks and the promotion of justice in our society.”
