Nigerian relationship expert Blessing Okoro, popularly known as Blessing CEO, has confirmed the death of her son, Bryan Onyedikachi, while distancing herself from a ₦56 million fundraising appeal reportedly launched in her name.
Blessing, who is currently in custody, reportedly confirmed the death during a phone conversation with actress Doris Ogala, which was later shared online.
The controversy followed an earlier announcement by Amira Agiye, Chief Executive Officer of the Isaamira Love Foundation, who appealed to Nigerians to raise ₦56 million reportedly linked to Blessing’s bail conditions and an outstanding financial claim.
Agiye had claimed that the fundraising appeal was being conducted with Blessing’s consent.
However, Blessing disputed the claim, saying she did not authorise anyone to publicly announce her son’s death or solicit funds on her behalf.

“I didn’t give anybody consent. And I think I’m in the best position to break the news of my son’s death, not an entire stranger,” she said during the conversation with Ogala.
Following the disclosure, Ogala urged individuals who had donated through the reported appeal to seek refunds, maintaining that Blessing had not authorised the fundraising.
The development has consequently sparked questions over the origin of the ₦56 million appeal and whether the donations were legitimately solicited on Blessing’s behalf.
While Blessing has confirmed the death of Bryan, details surrounding the circumstances of his death have not been independently established.
