Parts of Delta State will experience power outages for two days as the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) embarks on maintenance work on the132kv Ughelli- Oghara line from November 26 – 27, 2024.
In a release signed by the TCN’s General Manager Public Affairs, Ndidi Mbah, the agency said that the maintenance work on the power line aims to enable linesmen to perform trace maintenance on towers172 and 173 as well as conduct vegetation management.
Mbah said that the scheduled power outage will occur from 10am to 5pm on both days, adding that as a result, the Benin Electricity Distribution Company (BEDC) will be unable to supply electricity to customers in Adeje Industrial Estate, Mosogar, Woodland, Sapele, Abaraka and environs.

Additionally, the TCN stated that the maintenance crew at the 132/133kv Delta sub-station will replace a faulty secondary circuit breaker on a 60mva power transformer from 10am to 4pm on Tuesday and Wednesday.
“Consequently, the BEDC will not be able to supply electricity to Owotodo/ Pantani, Agbarho/ Eku, Ughelli/ Shell and environs.
“Power will be restored immediately after completion of the maintenance job,” the TCN added.
