Besiktas have confirmed the appointment of Manchester United legend Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as their new head coach.
The Turkish giants confirmed the appointment on X.
“Ole, Ole, Ole”, the club wrote along with a photo of Solskjaer draped in a club scarf.
The new appointment is Solskjaer’s first coaching job since he was sacked by United in 2021.
The Norwegian replaced Giovanni van Bronckhorst, who was sacked in December, 2025.

Solskjaer led United to a second-place finish in the Premier League and reached the Europa League final where they lost to Villarreal on penalties.
The 51-year-old spent nine seasons with United as a player, winning six Premier League titles, FA Cups and the UEFA Champions League.
He has also taken charge of Cardiff City and Molde, twice winning the Tippeligaen with the Norwegian side.
Meanwhile, Besiktas are currently sixth in the Turkish Super Lig with 30 points from 18 games.
