Singer and social activist, Folarin Falana, popularly known as Falz, has condemned President Bola Tinubu for his failure to address the rising level of insecurity in Nigeria.
His remarks come in response to the president’s recent statement on X (formerly Twitter) concerning the horrific massacre in Benue State, where over 200 individuals were reportedly killed and tragically burned.
Falz expressed his discontent with Tinubu’s leadership, highlighting that the president has repeatedly demonstrated an inability to fulfill his fundamental duty of safeguarding the lives and property of Nigerian citizens.
He pointed out that the routine statements issued by the president fall short of providing tangible solutions or reassurance to the populace that security is being prioritized.

In a straightforward post on X, Falz stated that “you have consistently shown that you are incapable of performing the primary duty of securing lives and property of your citizens. This routine statement does not cut it.”
His words reflect a growing frustration among citizens who feel neglected amidst the ongoing violence.
Furthermore, Falz voiced his concerns about the lack of adequate media coverage and public outrage surrounding the tragic events in Benue.
He lamented that “over 200 senselessly slain and burnt alive in Benue, and this is not getting close to enough attention. Why are we so wicked to ourselves?”
