A new study has ranked Belgium, Australia, and the United States among the best countries in the world for women to live and work in 2025, highlighting progress in wage equality, leadership opportunities, and entrepreneurship.
The research, conducted by Click Intelligence, assessed women’s professional and personal experiences across several countries using six indicators: female business ownership, representation in management positions, employment gaps between genders, wage disparities, maternity leave policies, and perceptions of safety. These factors were weighted to create a comprehensive Women’s Well-Being Score, designed to capture both career and lifestyle opportunities.
Belgium emerged at the top of the list, recording the world’s lowest gender wage gap at just 1.19 percent. The country also stood out for its progressive family policies, offering mothers up to 15 months of maternity leave.
Australia ranked high for career advancement, with women holding almost 50 percent of managerial positions, an achievement that places the country among the global leaders in gender balance in senior roles.
