Following a recent development, reports from Italy have revealed that Matthijs de Ligt will play for Bayern next season in an agreement that is subject to Juventus ratification.
Since landing in Turin the player has not been able to perform at the expected level and his exit was a fait accompli. To this should be added that the club needs to balance the income accounts to be able to face new additions and the centre-back is one of the assets that Bianconeri have that has caught the attention of top European clubs.
Bayern Munich has already transferred an offer of €90M to Juventus, which would be close to accepting the proposal, so the player’s future could be resolved shortly. This would put an end to the rumours that placed the centre-back in both the Premier and Barcelona, so De Ligt will embark on a new adventure in the Bavarian capital.

If this move materialises, it sure means that Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel will have to look for other alternatives to bolster the club’s defensive reinforcement. Chelsea have been on the trail of the Dutch defender but the asking price pegged at about €90m by Juventus has created friction that has slowed down negotiations between both clubs.
However, Marca reports that Bavarian are preparing a bid of about €90m for the player who has about €120m release clause attached to his contract.
According to the report, Juventus need a bid which should not be less than €70m for the defender as a take-off point in negotiations. Reportedly Bayern Munich would offer a €75m fixed fee plus another €15m in variables, meeting the demands of the Serie A club.
