Bayern Munich defender Eric Dier has announced his departure from the club at the end of the season after rejecting a new deal offer to stay at the Allianz Arena.
The 31-year-old transitioned to the Bundesliga side from Tottenham in January 2024, initially joining on a six-month loan.
That summer, the German club secured his permanent transfer, and Dier has since made 45 appearances for the six-time Champions League champions.
“We held talks with Eric regarding a new contract,” stated sporting director Christoph Freund.
“He informed us that he prefers not to extend and will be parting ways with us.
“He’s an excellent individual. We’ve shared memorable moments together. I hope he finishes his journey with us by claiming his first title.”

As reported by BBC Sport on Friday, Dier is reportedly in advanced negotiations with Ligue 1 club Monaco.
It is believed that discussions with Monaco are focused on reaching an initial three-year agreement, with an option to extend for an additional 12 months.
Bayern stands on the verge of securing the Bundesliga title and can clinch it with a victory over rivals RB Leipzig this weekend.
If Vincent Kompany’s team achieves this, it would mark the first piece of silverware Dier has earned in his career.
Dier, who has earned 49 caps for England, was a finalist with Spurs in the 2015 and 2021 Carabao Cup matches, along with the 2019 Champions League final.
