Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL) champions Bayelsa Queens, fired up a 3-1 win against USFA Girls, on Sunday, in Stade de Yamoussoukro in Côte d’Ivoire.
The high flying Bayelsa Queens were quick to shrug off the barren draw against the Ghanaian side Ampem Darkoa to resume their quest to qualify for the Women’s CAF Champions League on winning terms.
Two goals in the first-half gave the Prosperity Girls a 1 goal advantage after Lala Traore had canceled Flourish Miracle’s 5-minute opener for the Burkinabes in the 15th minute.

The extraordinary Etim Edidiong, who scored four in the Prosperity Girls’ 5-0 thrashing of Athleta FC, netted the second goal in the 38-minute to hand Bayelsa Queens the lead.
However, Aderemy Mary finally got her name in the scoresheet with her 69-minute finisher to round the impressive group outing for the Nigerian side.
Moreover, goal-poaching Edidiong now has five goals to her name.
