Turner has been in the eye of a storm lately. He had emerged as the South South Zonal Secretary of the PDP in an election dictated by the FCT minister, Nyesom Wike held in Calabar.

However, the election was discredited by the National Working Committee of the party.

Currently he is having a brawl with Governor Douye Diri over a pro-Wike rally he is coordinating to hold in Yenagoa. Diri has said the rally won’t hold in the state and Turner is claiming his life is under threat.
