Bandits have invaded the Government Girls Comprehensive Senior Secondary School (GGCSS) in Maga, situated in the Danko Wasagu area of Kebbi State.
During the attack, they killed the Vice Principal of the school, Hassan Makuku, and kidnapped an unknown number of students.
Maga, a community within the Danko/Wasagu Local Government Area, has experienced multiple attacks in recent times.
A resident, Aliyu Yakubu, reported that the attackers stormed the school around 5 a.m. on Monday without facing any resistance.
“The incident has caused widespread panic in the community. The residents of Maga are filled with fear and sorrow,” he said.

He added that the school’s Vice Principal, Makuku, was shot while trying to protect the students during the assault.
“He was shot while attempting to prevent the bandits from taking the students. His death is a significant tragedy for both the school and the community,” he remarked.
As of the time of this report, the police had yet to issue a statement about the attack, and the command’s spokesperson, CSP Nafiu Abubakar, did not respond to multiple inquiries.
